Whats The Process? Teeth Straightening
Easy 4 Step Process
Step 1 - Consultation and Evaluation
During the initial visit, your dentist will evaluate your teeth, bite, and overall oral health to determine the best treatment option for you. X-rays, photographs, and dental impressions may be taken to aid in treatment planning.
Step 2 - Treatment Planning and Preparation
Once a treatment plan is established, your dentist will create a customised treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. This may involve the selection of the appropriate orthodontic appliance, such as braces or clear aligners, and the development of a detailed treatment timeline.
Step 3 - Adjustments
The active phase of treatment involves the placement and adjustment of orthodontic appliances to gradually move your teeth into their desired positions. Depending on the type of treatment, this may include regular adjustments, changing aligners, or wire tightening to achieve the desired results.
Step 4 - Retention and Follow-Up
After the active phase of treatment is complete and your teeth are properly aligned, you will enter the retention phase. This typically involves wearing a retainer to maintain the new position of your teeth and prevent them from shifting back.
